Weekend Swoon Session ~ Segreto!

Hello dear ones!!!

It's a chilly Saturday eve in Cape Town and what better to do than take a trip through blogland and have a swoon session de luxe!

What are you up to?? Take a break and join me for a few minutes... it will be worth it, I promise!

Take a look....

Gasping and swooning permitted...

Take a good look at the wall finishes, the scones, the chandelier.... just take a good look and appreciate the beauty!

Found this piece of perfection on Segreto's   face book wall...

Phew...long sigh of pleasure and  I am grrrrreeeeennnn with envy at all of you who get to visit this house to view it up close and personal.

So, I thought I would share a few more fabulous images....

Designed by Joni Webb from the wonderful blog Cote De Texas this was a feast for the eye.

Pure pleasure...

Just loving the light in here..

Another fab dining room

A hand design that Segreto painted on a bathroom wall ~ yes please!

This mural is one of my favourites which I found on Segreto's Face book Wall.

Fabulously enchanting...

...and how cute is this???

As an African girl, this makes my heart beat to the rhythm of the African bush!

Take a peek at the wonderful detail in this ceiling finish!

I am in awe of the workmanship.

This colour and design would fit perfectly in my den.

Delicately delightful...

If you have been reading Tassels Twigs and Tastebuds for a while you will know that I love the glowy warm look, so I had to include this...

My personal treat to myself for my birthday next month is this....

The book with all the eye candy to keep me occupied for a good while!

My friend Sharon, from the lovely blog Roses and Rust beat me to it, and is already in possession of this piece of pretty, so please click here to see Sharon's post. I have tried to include different pictures so you have loads to enjoy!
Thanks Sharon.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did finding it all!

Have a great weekend

Kelly Harmon

Hello everyone!

Happy Wednesday to you.

Welcome to all my new followers and a happy to see you!! to those of you who have been around my lil dot in the universe for a while...!

First of all, I want to thank everyone of you, who leaves such lovely chatty comments on my blog and regale me with emails. I deeply appreciate the time you take to chat.

I have been trying to track down a few people who comment to thank them personally, but to no avail. Here, I have to say that I am not all that clued up on techno stuff but I am getting there and learning every day. Some bloggers have a closed profile though and then I am unable to contact you at all.

So, Attention ANNIE H!! Would love to contact you!! Thank you.

Now onto all things beautiful and inspiring. I was aimlessly scrolling down my face book wall when this picture made me sit up and take notice!!

Isn't is Divine! What a gorgeous idea. The ordinary has become extraordinary.... I can't stop looking at the lovely image and wonder where can I get one as well... no not the kitty...the frame~! I am enchanted and captivate by this little piece of beautiful history....

I saw the name on the picture and went looking for her website. The work of this lovely lady....

Have a look at  these...

A show stopping fireplace and the palette is just beautiful.

A studio to die for!... not to mention the horse...

Love this and horses are obviously a great inspiration.

What a dreamy image...

I love her sensitive approach and serene look she imparts to every room.  The colours are all wonderful and timeless.

A wonderful room filled with all you need to be comfortable, cosy and entertained for days. I am really enjoying the colours and the old books against the painted back wall. Just stunning!

Peaceful and serene.

Please visit Kelly Harmon's website here to learn more about this wonderful designer. I am hooked and will try to find more of her work to share. There are also more images for you to enjoy on her website.

Another gorgeous setting. Please note the roof pattern. So subtle you almost miss it, but when you see it , it completes the picture perfectly, don't you think?

An Autumn Stroll in my Garden.

Hi Everyone!

How was your weekend?

I had a lovely relaxing weekend and took a drive into the country to explore a wonderful farm garden and then on Sunday I headed back out in another direction to explore a new town that might be my next home!

Back home, I took my camera and had a look to see what was in bloom in my own garden. I needed the inspiration, since my garden is undergoing a bit of  a revamp and  it is not looking all that great in places. But of course, Mother Nature rarely disappoints and once I started there turned out to be quite a bit happening!

Sticks of Fire is starting to put on its winter coat of colour.

Hibiscus "Kona" always seems to have a bloom on no matter what season we're in!

A Spider nest in among the clivias... creepy....

I love the pink bloom of the Zimbabwe creeper. It is always a buzz with life!

The Moonflower in front seems not to know that a chill has set in and still blooms profusely!

The delicate pink is so beautiful.

Nature's pantry is full and the birds have a daily feast!

A lone tomato under the conifer tree of all places. It popped up in the shade and I had absolutely no expectations of it at all, but boy... did it deliver a crop! Who says a tomato needs full day sun?? This one's stats looks amazing...I stumbled upon a cluster of reds as I was weeding. What a bonus!

Robin Redbreast takes breather in his nest from feeding the offspring!

The heavenly colour of Plumbago" Royal Cape " is just Divine!

The parent at work...on the way back home with the evening meal...

...and on the menu for this evening.... a worm or two or three...

...and perhaps a berry for dessert?

The double white moonflower's tutu is still pristine...

Smirnoff takes the camera as a cue for his daily dip...

...and a ferocious shake showering all in range...

There always seems to be something to please the senses in the garden. I am so blessed to have a garden. As we head to winter and the rainy season over here I try to enjoy every sunny day outdoors and to do as much of the revamp as possible.

Wishing you all a great week!

Thank you for your company.

I will be joining Wow Us Wednesday at Savvy Southern Style
