La Broncanteuse ~ Kamers vol Geskenke

Good morning dear ones. It has been a very busy time on my dot in the world. Seasonal markets filled with wonderful craft and gifts abound, open gardens, etc, etc. I can babble on for ages but will spare you... It is quite wonderful and keeps me on the hop. It was at one such market called "Kamers vol Geskenke" ( translates to ~ rooms full of presents ~ wonderful thought, isn't it just??), that I had the pleasure of meeting a blogger friend! Yes!! How wonderful! Guess who?

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Colette from La Broncanteuse . She has a gorgeous blog filled all things French and of course her passion... antique monogrammed French linen! Colette travels to the French countryside where she visits markets to collect her treasures. (I can hear a collective sigh of envy....and I will add my sighhhhhh.... to the corus) Please visit and feast your eyes and I will keep my ears piqued for all those oohs and aahhhs that you are about to utter!!

Now that you are back from Colette's lovely blog let me show you her stall of treasure at the market.

By the way, this event was held at the picturesque Lourensford Wine Estate... ( a post for another day)

The vignettes were enchanting...

The French flag showed the origin of all the treasure ...and added to the ambiance...

These were just gorgeous....for the Christmas tree

My apologies for the price tags but I was not going to pass up giving you a closer look at the lovelies!!!!

Loved these vintage prints on the Christmas Stockings.

Take a closer look...

A table full of lovely linen....

....beautifully presented as you can see...

An Armoire filled with lace beckoned....

Have a look inside...are you gasping in delight and feeling nostalgic...longing for your grandma's sewing basket?

Delicately enchantingly pretty....

Please note the beautiful packaging!!

Remember my post for the cloche party (click here)... this must have been where I first got the idea and then promptly forget about it again until I drove past Masquerade in Franschoek! Oi! What can I say? But anyway have a look at these masks displayed against the fans. Gorgeous.

You can view Colette's post on Kamers Vol Geskenke here

It was a delight to meet Colette and to see her treasure trove. Of course she was very busy as the event attracts hoards of people so we have resolved to get together at another time to chat .

That's it dear ones , I hope you enjoyed that.

I am heading up the ladder to get down the boxes of Christmas decorations ...

Live well

Veronica
